Is a PDF an e-Invoice in South Africa?

No. In the SARS consultation paper, an e-Invoice is structured and machine-readable, issued, transmitted, and received in a format that supports automatic processing. A PDF, scanned image, or emailed document by itself is not the proposed structured e-Invoice.
